1. Scope of this agreement

This Artist Agreement applies to all artists who apply to or participate in Rocketman Art, including but not limited to:

  • Painters
  • Photographers
  • Sculptors
  • Musicians
  • Multidisciplinary contemporary creatives
  • Artists using free or paid membership plans

This agreement applies whether the artist is accepted under a free membership plan or a paid subscription plan.

2. Artist applications and approval process

To join Rocketman Art, artists may be required to submit an application that includes profile details, biography information, creative materials, portfolio content, and any other supporting information requested by the platform.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Rocketman Art reserves the right to review, approve, decline, request revisions, or delay publication of any artist application in order to maintain curatorial standards, platform quality, and service suitability.

Key points

  • All applications are subject to review
  • Approval may depend on profile completeness, content quality, and platform fit
  • Rocketman Art may request additional information before approval
  • Public artist visibility may begin only after approval is confirmed

3. Artist profile responsibilities

Artists are responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and up-to-date information on their Rocketman Art profile. This includes artist names, biographies, portfolio materials, contact details where applicable, exhibition history, artwork descriptions, and any other publicly displayed content.

Artists agree not to submit false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful information through their profile or platform activity.

Artists are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Profile information is accurate and professionally presented
  • Uploaded content reflects their own creative practice
  • Portfolio descriptions, artwork titles, and statements are truthful
  • Any pricing, availability, or booking-related information is reasonably current where required

4. Artwork submissions and creative

Artists may upload artworks, photography, sculpture images, music-related materials, project documentation, artist statements, descriptions, and other creative content to Rocketman Art as part of their profile, gallery, or opportunity submissions.

By uploading content, the artist confirms that:

  • They own the work or have the legal right to submit and display it
  • The content does not infringe the rights of any third party
  • The content is accurate, lawful, and suitable for display on a professional art platform
  • Rocketman Art may review, format, crop, moderate, feature, or remove content where necessary for quality, presentation, or compliance

Artists must not upload content that:

  • Infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights
  • Contains unlawful, offensive, misleading, or fraudulent material
  • Falsely represents authorship, ownership, or edition status
  • Includes inaccurate pricing, deceptive information, or non-permitted promotional material

5. Membership plans and subscription access

Rocketman Art may offer different artist membership plans, including free and paid subscription options. Each plan may provide different levels of profile visibility, upload capacity, support, promotional opportunities, or access to curated services.

Artists who subscribe to a paid membership agree to the pricing, billing cycle, and feature access associated with their selected plan.

6. Curatorial standards and platform discretion

Rocketman Art is a curated platform. To maintain a consistent quality of presentation and user experience, Rocketman Art reserves the right to review, feature, limit, suspend, edit, or remove artist profiles, artworks, submissions, and public content at its discretion.

This may include situations involving:

  • Incomplete or misleading artist profiles
  • Quality control and curatorial fit
  • Legal or rights-related concerns
  • Repeated policy violations
  • Expired subscriptions or inactive participation where relevant

Curatorial review does not transfer ownership of the artist’s work to Rocketman Art.

7. License to display and promote content

Artists retain ownership of their artworks and submitted creative content. However, by joining Rocketman Art and uploading profile or portfolio materials, the artist grants Rocketman Art a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable right to use, display, reproduce, resize, publish, and promote that content for the purpose of operating, marketing, and improving the platform and related services.

This may include use of artist content in:

  • Artist profile pages
  • Public gallery listings
  • Featured artist sections
  • Social media promotions
  • Newsletters and editorial features
  • Marketing materials related to Rocketman Art exhibitions, services, and platform campaigns
  • This permission is granted only for platform-related presentation, promotion, and operational purposes, unless otherwise agreed separately.

8. Sales, leasing, bookings, and creative opportunities

Rocketman Art may connect artists with collectors, buyers, hospitality spaces, leasing opportunities, booking requests, commissions, or creative collaborations.

Participation in these opportunities may depend on artwork suitability, artist availability, client requirements, curatorial fit, pricing, or separate project terms.

9. Pricing, commissions, and payouts

Where Rocketman Art facilitates artwork sales, bookings, or paid creative opportunities, the platform may apply commissions, service fees, administrative deductions, or separate commercial terms depending on the service type.

Artists may be required to provide accurate pricing, payment details, and fulfillment information where relevant.

  • Commission structures, if applicable, may be communicated separately
  • Payouts may depend on completed transactions, booking completion, or invoice confirmation
  • Rocketman Art may withhold payouts where there is fraud, dispute, cancellation, or policy breach
  • Artists are responsible for any tax, reporting, or legal obligations applicable to their own income unless otherwise stated

10. Artist conduct and acceptable use

Artists agree to use Rocketman Art professionally and responsibly. This includes respectful communication, lawful use of the platform, and compliance with all applicable platform rules, service standards, and community expectations.

Artists must not:

  • Impersonate another artist or misrepresent authorship
  • Submit fraudulent, plagiarized, or stolen work
  • Misuse buyer or client information
attempt to interfere with the platform or bypass service arrangements in bad faith
  • Use Rocketman Art for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or misleading conduct

11. Suspension and termination

Rocketman Art may suspend, restrict, reject, or terminate an artist account, profile, membership, listing, or opportunity access where necessary to protect the platform, users, curatorial standards, or business operations.

This may occur in cases such as:

  • Policy or agreement violations
    copyright complaints or rights disputes
  • Repeated misleading submissions
non-payment or payment failure for paid memberships
  • Harmful, abusive, or fraudulent behavior
  • Inactivity or content quality concerns where relevant to the platform model

Termination of platform access does not automatically remove any payment obligations already incurred.

12. Membership cancellation and plan changes

Artists may request to cancel or change their membership plan in accordance with Rocketman Art’s membership policies. Refunds, if offered, will depend on the plan type, billing cycle, timing of cancellation, and whether benefits or promotional features have already been used.

  • Free plan accounts may be closed at any time, subject to account review
  • Paid membership cancellations may take effect at the end of the active billing period unless otherwise stated
  • Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law or stated in a separate policy
  • Rocketman Art may modify plan structures, benefits, or pricing with notice

13. Intellectual property and rights protection

Artists retain ownership of their original creative works. Rocketman Art does not claim ownership of artworks solely because they are displayed on the platform.

However, all Rocketman Art branding, platform design, layouts, editorial content, and site materials remain the property of Rocketman Art or its licensors.

  • Artists may not reuse Rocketman Art branding without permission
  • Third parties may not copy artist content from the platform without proper rights
  • Artists should promptly notify Rocketman Art of suspected infringement, unauthorized use, or misrepresentation of their work

14. Limitation of liability

Rocketman Art aims to provide a professional and curated platform for artist visibility, opportunities, and commercial engagement. However, Rocketman Art cannot guarantee profile traffic, collector outcomes, sales volume, bookings, exhibition placements, or commercial success for any artist.

To the extent permitted by law, Rocketman Art will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from platform use, rejected applications, lost opportunities, client interactions, delays, cancellations, or service interruptions.

15. Changes to this Artist Agreement

Rocketman Art may update this Artist Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in services, platform structure, legal obligations, membership plans, or artist-related operations. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
